QuickBooks and Xero
Send approved document data to QuickBooks Online or Xero as bills, invoices, or expenses.
Parsedit delivers approved data straight into your accounting system, so an invoice goes from PDF to posted entry without retyping.
Connect
- Open your parser's destination settings and choose QuickBooks Online or Xero.
- Sign in through the provider's OAuth flow and authorize Parsedit for your company or organization.
- Configure what each approved document should create.
Connections are managed per account, and you can disconnect at any time from the integrations settings.
What gets created
QuickBooks Online
- Bill: an accounts-payable entry for a vendor invoice.
- Invoice: a sales invoice.
- Purchase: an expense entry.
Vendors are matched by name. If no vendor with that name exists in QuickBooks, Parsedit creates one.
Xero
- Bill (accounts payable) or sales invoice (accounts receivable).
- Bank transaction for spend entries.
Contacts are matched by name and created when missing, like vendors in QuickBooks.
When entries are created
Data is sent when a document is delivered: on Approve & Send, or automatically if you enabled an auto-send delivery mode. For accounting destinations, manual approval is a sensible default.
Duplicate rules
Two layers protect your books from double entries:
- Intake dedupe. Uploading the same file to the same parser is skipped entirely. See Automation.
- Destination duplicate rule. Before creating an entry, Parsedit checks for an existing record with the same document number (QuickBooks DocNumber, Xero invoice number or reference). You choose the behavior: skip the send or update the existing entry.
