Quick start
Sign up, create a parser, upload a document, and deliver your first row in minutes.
This walkthrough takes you from a new account to your first delivered row. You need a sample document, for example an invoice or receipt, in any supported format.
Step 1: Sign up
- Go to the Parsedit sign-up page.
- Create your account with email and password, or continue with Google.
- Confirm your email if prompted.
The Free plan includes 25 pages per month and up to 3 parsers, so you can complete this guide without a paid plan.
Step 2: Create a parser
- In the dashboard, click Create parser.
- Give it a name, for example "Invoices".
- Pick a document template (invoice, receipt, bank statement, and many more) or start from scratch and define your own fields, such as Invoice number, Date, Vendor, and Total.
You can rename fields, add new ones, or remove them at any time. See Document templates.
Step 3: Upload a document
- Open your parser and click Upload.
- Select one or more files (PDF, Word, Excel, images, and 30+ formats, up to 50 MB each).
- Parsedit processes each file and extracts values for your fields. OCR runs automatically if the file is a scan or photo.
Step 4: Review and approve
- Open the processed document. The review screen shows every extracted field next to the original file, with confidence indicators to guide your attention.
- Edit any value directly.
- Click Approve & Send to deliver the data, Save Draft to finish later, or Reject to discard it.
Nothing is sent to a destination until you approve, unless you turn on automatic delivery later.
Step 5: Connect a destination
- Open your parser's destination settings.
- Connect Google Sheets (pick a spreadsheet and map fields to columns) or add a Webhook URL that receives a JSON POST.
- Approve a document. Parsedit appends a row to your sheet or posts the payload to your webhook.
QuickBooks Online, Xero, and Airtable are also available as destinations. See the integrations overview.
