FAQ

Everything about parsers, review, integrations, pricing, and data privacy.

Documents & extraction

What file types does Parsedit support?

Parsedit accepts more than 30 file types: PDF, Word (DOC, DOCX), Excel (XLS, XLSX), CSV, PowerPoint, images (PNG, JPEG, TIFF, WebP, and more), email files (EML, MSG), HTML, and plain text. Scanned documents run through OCR automatically, and files can be up to 50 MB each.

How does the parser know what to extract?

When you create a parser you pick a document template (invoice, bank statement, purchase order, resume, and many more) or start from a generic schema, then choose the fields to extract. You can add, remove, and rename fields at any time.

What document templates are available?

Dozens, including invoices, receipts, bank statements, purchase orders, pay stubs, contracts, identity documents, tax forms (W-2, W-9, 1099), and e-invoicing formats such as ZUGFeRD, XRechnung, FatturaPA, and PEPPOL. Every template ships with preset fields you can customize, and a generic schema covers anything else.

What happens if extraction fails?

The document stays in a failed or draft state. You can re-upload or fix the parser and try again.

Review & delivery

Can I edit extracted data before sending?

Yes. After extraction you see a review screen where every field is editable. You can Approve & Send, Save Draft, or Reject.

Where can I send the data?

Approved rows can go to Google Sheets, Airtable, QuickBooks, Xero, or any webhook endpoint. Slack can post activity notifications, Zapier connects everything else, and you can always export rows as CSV.

Can documents arrive without manual uploads?

Yes. Import files from Google Drive, forward documents by email, push files in through Zapier, or create documents programmatically with the REST API. Every intake path feeds the same parser, review, and delivery pipeline.

Are duplicate documents processed twice?

No. We deduplicate by file hash and parser. If you upload the same file again to the same parser, it won't create a new document or count against your quota.

Plans & teams

How is usage calculated for billing?

Usage is measured in pages: one processed page equals one credit. Every plan includes a monthly page quota, from 25 pages on the Free plan up to 35,000 on Business. Re-uploading an identical file to the same parser does not count twice.

Can I change my plan later?

Yes. Upgrade anytime from billing settings — new limits and page credits apply after payment. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period so you keep the pages and features you already paid for.

Can I use Parsedit with my team?

Yes, on Starter and above. Invite members to a shared workspace with roles: owners manage settings and billing, editors upload and review documents, and viewers get read-only access. Each plan includes a fixed seat limit.

Security & privacy

Is my document data secure?

Documents and extracted data are stored in your account and isolated with row-level security, so only you and your team can access them. Your data is never used to train AI models.
